Horncastle Horse Fair trotted back to town on Saturday 10 August!

This special arts and heritage event was brought back to life last year to mark 75 years since the last actual Horse Fair and celebrates Horncastle’s history and heritage.

It took place this time primarily at Horncastle Community Centre & Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust HQ on Manor House Lane, the 2024 Horse Fair was full of creative activities, with performances, workshops, films & talks, a horseshoe trail, a mini parade and you were also able to say hello to the returning shire horse, Bomber!

Once again featuring West End actor and puppeteer Joe Richardson (originally from Horncastle), alongside Lincolnshire creative favourites, Rhubarb Theatre, Lumo Workshop and Creative Heights as well as a host of other artists, craftsmakers and local organisations, the Horse Fair was an uplifting community event that celebrated the town’s heritage and gave us all something to smile about.
